Access - It's all about losing our right to roam Currently under Scottish law, anyone can walk through the dunes and rough grass areas around Menie - provided they behave responsibly. Golf courses are treated differently - although people have a right of access they do not have freedom to roam - understandably from the golf course view point. This is a provision designed to protect existing golf courses. The Trump environmental statement makes it clear that this will be applied to the Trump development and access will be restricted. Turn Menie into a golf course, and everyone's right of access no longer applies. Want to walk on the Menie Dunes? Buy a Trump £700,000 house or timeshare flat in one of the tower block condominiums..
